Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions, answered

If you're evaluating ReadyIntelligence or just getting started, this page covers the questions we hear most often. Can't find what you're looking for? See our technical FAQs or get in touch.

1. How it works

What does ReadyIntelligence actually do?

ReadyIntelligence gives your members and staff an AI agent that can answer questions, surface relevant content, and provide insight from your data, accurately and in plain language. Rather than searching through documents or waiting for a colleague to respond, people get a direct, sourced answer in seconds. You can deploy it for members, for internal teams, or for both, with each assistant configured separately.

How does the AI know the right answer?

Every response is grounded in your organisation's own content and data — not generic AI knowledge. When someone asks a question, the AI searches your knowledge base, finds the most relevant materials, and cites the exact sources it used. Users can see where each answer came from and click through to the original document. This means you get accuracy you can verify, not guesswork.

Will it make things up?

Answers are grounded in your content and always cite their source, which significantly reduces the risk of hallucination compared to general-purpose AI tools. If the information isn't in your knowledge base, the AI is designed to say so rather than guess — and because every answer is cited, you can always verify it against the original source yourself.

What kind of content can it draw on?

ReadyIntelligence can work with a wide range of content types, including documents, PDFs, website pages, cloud storage, knowledge base articles, and video content. It can also connect directly to your membership data, CRM records, and other system data — subject to permissions you control. Web crawls can be scheduled to keep content current automatically.

Can it answer questions based on video content?

Yes. Video content can be indexed and surfaced in conversations. When the AI references a video, it displays it inline and points to the specific timestamp — so users can jump straight to the relevant section rather than watching the whole recording. This works particularly well for training libraries, recorded events, and member webinars.

2: Data, security, and compliance

Where is our data hosted?

ReadyIntelligence's AI infrastructure can be deployed with a choice of US or EU Hosting. Customers in the EU this means your data and the services that process it are hosted within the European Union. This matters for organisations with GDPR or data residency requirements.

Is ReadyIntelligence GDPR compliant?

ReadyIntelligence is designed to support your GDPR obligations: permission-aware access controls, source traceability, and EU data residency are all built in. It is also ISO 27001 certified. Actual compliance depends in part on how your organisation configures and uses the platform, so speak to our team if you have specific compliance requirements or need supporting documentation.

Does the AI have access to all of our data?

No. ReadyIntelligence operates on a default-deny model — the AI only has access to data sources that have been explicitly configured and permissioned. On top of that, it checks each user's access rights at the point of query, so members and staff only receive information they're already authorised to see. You can expand data access gradually as your confidence in the platform grows.

3: Deployment and integrations

Does ReadyIntelligence only work with ReadyMembership?

No. ReadyIntelligence integrates deeply with ReadyMembership, but it can also be embedded into third-party websites and platforms — including WordPress and other CMS environments — via a standard embeddable widget. The full AI capability, including knowledge base search, data queries, and permissions, is available regardless of what your front-end is built on.

Can it be configured differently for members versus staff?

Yes. You can run separate assistant configurations for different audiences. A member-facing assistant on your website can have a different set of knowledge sources, tools, and tone to an internal staff assistant. Welcome messages, suggested prompts, and available capabilities are all configurable per assistant.

How long does it take to get up and running?

ReadyIntelligence is designed for fast deployment. Most organisations see their first assistant live within weeks, not months. The speed depends on how much content you're bringing in and how you want to integrate with your existing systems, but we work with you to get to value quickly.

Which AI models does it use?

ReadyIntelligence is model-agnostic by design, which means it isn't locked to a single AI provider. The platform uses leading large language models and can be configured to use your organisation's own AI licence or model credentials if you have an existing enterprise agreement. This gives you flexibility over cost and model choice without having to rebuild anything.

4: Analytics and insight

Can the AI help us understand our membership data?

Yes. ReadyIntelligence can connect to your membership metrics and data, allowing the AI to query figures and generate charts directly within the conversation. You can ask plain-language questions like "show me membership renewals by month for the last year" and get a visual response. Charts can be downloaded. This works alongside knowledge base content, so you can combine qualitative and quantitative insight in the same session.

Can we see what members and staff are asking?

Yes. All conversation threads are recorded and accessible via the admin interface in a privacy-conscious way. You can see which questions come up most frequently, where the AI is performing well, and where there might be gaps in your content. This feeds directly into your content and member experience strategy.

5: Pricing and getting started

How is ReadyIntelligence priced?

Pricing is based on a platform fee that includes a compute allowance — similar to a fair usage model. There are no per-seat fees. For organisations with existing AI enterprise agreements, the option to use your own model credentials can also reduce platform costs. Speak to our team for a tailored quote based on your organisation's size and requirements.

Are there different tiers?

Yes. ReadyIntelligence includes a core set of capabilities available to all clients, with premium features available as add-ons — including advanced data querying and deeper integrations. Your account manager can walk you through the options and what makes sense for your organisation.

Can we try it before we commit?

Yes. Book a demo to see ReadyIntelligence working with your type of content and data, or start a free trial to explore the platform directly.

6: Trust, liability, and data

Can conversations be anonymous?

Yes. ReadyIntelligence supports a fully anonymous mode, so you can choose whether to require member login or allow anonymous use, depending on your needs.

What if the AI gives an answer that's wrong or misleading?

Every answer includes a citation back to its source, so users and administrators can verify it. As with any AI system, responses should be checked against the cited source for anything high-stakes, and we recommend organisations include appropriate disclaimer language for their audience. Speak to our team about how other clients in regulated sectors have approached this.

Can the AI be stopped from answering certain topics?

Yes. Administrators can configure custom instructions to route sensitive topics to a holding response, human escalation, or a specific contact route, rather than letting the AI attempt a direct answer.
